Joël Lebreton becomes adviser to the French rail operator SNCF



The former head of Transdevwho had resigned after the merger with Veolia, will soon join the SNCF group as an advisor to the SNCF president Guillaume Pepy and Jean-Pierre Farandou (SNCF Proximités in charge of regional train services).

Dismissed in early February when Jérôme Gallot was appointed CEO of the newgroup Veolia Transdev (read), Joël Lebreton then CEO of Veolia is back on business.

He becomes adviser to Guillaume Pepy, and will assume his new duties in early June 2011. In addition to his mission for the president of SNCF, Joël Lebreton will also advise Jean-Pierre Farandou, CEO of SNCF Proximités
(first branch of the SNCF group in charge of regional trains and of its subsidiary Keolis), in view of opening to competition the regional trains (TER).

The report by senator Francis Grignon on the subject, expected in late 2010
and Easter 2011, was again delayed for this summer.
